8 Days of Immersive Learning Experience
Launching in the summer of 2025, this 1-week non-degree program offers an immersive introduction to SFC’s interdisciplinary learning. Participants will stay on campus, day and night, working alongside Keio students as they explore the SFC curriculum focused on "kenkyukai" Seminars and experience the vibrant campus life in Japan.
Message from Program Coordinator Prof. Yo NONAKA
We are pleased to invite students from Indonesia to this program, which will be held at Keio SFC for the first time. SFC educates students to solve social issues and build a better future through interdisciplinary learning. We invite you to experience this approach firsthand through the one-week program. The program includes interactions with SFC students taking Indonesian language classes and those interested in Southeast Asian societies and cultures. It also features participation in several seminars on different themes and a mini survey on campus, where each participant will set a theme to work on and present their findings. Excursions around campus with students, as well as participation in SFC's summer festival over the weekend will also be part of the program!

Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC)
As Keio’s 5th campus, SFC opened in 1990 to educate students to resolve complex social issues by integrating the fields of technology, science, design, business, innovation, international relations, and policy.
Where is SFC?
Our beautiful campus is in Shonan, a popular resort destination in the summer along Sagami Bay. We are just about 1 hour away from Yokohama and 1.5 from Tokyo. The beach, the mountains, and the Tokyo-Yokohama metropolis are just a short ride from here, so you can experience many different aspects of Japan with Keio SFC Summer Program.
Faculties
Faculty of Policy Management
Faculty of Environment and Information Studies
What is Kenkyukai?
The core of SFC learning is Seminars (kenkyukai). They provide unique opportunities to deepen the subject knowledge and co-learn with diverse students, sometimes with graduate students. Students can accumulate multi-disciplinary expertise by joining different Seminars in different semesters.
Tanabata Festival
July 5 (Sat.) - 6 (Sun.), 2025
Planned and organized solely by students, SFC’s summer festival is one of the highlights of every year. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors all come together and enjoy summer.
The Mission of SFC
The education pursued by the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies encourages students to "think for themselves about what the problem is, develop a method to solve it, and put that method into practice (identifying problems and finding solutions)" rather than being given a question and taught the answer. This is because many of the existing issues need more than just a single academic field such as economics or medicine to solve. Shonan Fujisawa Campus is where students will develop problem-solving skills through cross-disciplinary learning and build a professional foundation to find solutions to complex issues.
