WRITING
WRITING
A few well-chosen words can create a strong sense of place which adds a rich dimension to your story. It draws your reader right in, as if they were in the room with your characters. Research the following places and describe it using ALL of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing). In fiction, you won't usually use all five, but limbering up your storytelling this way will help you show rather than tell the story:
A market in the South of France
A teenage bedroom
A hairdresser's salon
A stately home
A garden
READING
Pick from these two texts. Read the text and complete the questions and vocabulary sheets at the end of each story in your books. Complete the work to a high standard. Early finishers read the other text or complete more on their novel study by reading 'Wonder'

Apart from the poem, read the text and complete the character analysis at the end of each story in your books. Complete the work to a high standard.
Copy the slides above, save them in your writing drive folder with your name in the title and complete the slides to a high quality (those without Chromebooks can do it in a book)
