Hello!
This is my second year as the KRHS nurse. I have been a registered nurse for 13 years, 10 of those years I have been a pediatric nurse at CHaD inpatient. I am still a per diem nurse at the children's hospital. I spend my summers working at camps Kenwood and Evergreen as a camp nurse.
I live locally with my husband. We have two kids in the district. We have a dog and and a cat. I love to go camping, hiking, and skiing. But my favorite days are curled up with a book at the beach or a campfire, and playing board games with my family.
Hello!
I returned last year, to the KRHS Health Office, after having been away for 7 years. Prior to this break, I was in the District for over 21 years as an LNA and a Paraprofessional in Gateway.
I live locally with my 2 dogs and my kitty. My 3 children and I all graduated from the Kearsarge Regional School District.
I now have 7 grandchildren, and they are my heart.
My favorite things to do are going to the beach, attending my grand children's sporting events and gardening. I also find DIY projects at home and walking my dogs to be fun.
Reminder: Please make sure you have filled out and updated Power School. This must be done YEARLY! This includes making sure your child has permission for over the counter medications like Tylenol and Ibuprofen NEW this year, we need approval for a lot more including wound cleaning solution, antibiotic ointments like bacitracin and Neosporin . We can't give them anything without your permission.
Prescription Medications: If you child needs to take a prescription medication during school hours. The medication must be provided in the original prescription container, with the label. Also we need signed authorization from the parent/guardian as well as signed order from the prescribing physician. This needs to be done every school year.
Athletics: We work closely with the athletic department. If your child sustains an injury, we may need a physicians note either excusing or return to play . If your child is planning on playing a sport we must have an up to date physical on file. One will be good for the next 4 years. However, if there are any changes we need to be notified and have documentation.
