Hi! I am Brittany Dudley, formally Dobie, school counselor for the class of 2027. Can I get a 27! I am also the Career and College Promise Counselor. This will be my 5th year as a Wonder and excited to be at A. L. Brown.
I attended undergrad at UNC Greensboro and received my Bachelors Degree in Sociology with a minor in African American Studies, Go Spartans! I received my Masters Degree at Salem College in School Counseling.
In my free time I like to roller skate, although I am not the best but I am working on it, browse TikTok and hang out with my dog Migo, who is named after the Migos!
Hello! I'm Karen Raboin and I help to serve the class of 2024! I have worked with students at other schools, but I am very excited to be here to support you. I received my Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Liberty University Online programs, and am currently working on my Doctorate. Looking forward to being Dr. Raboin! If I can manage to do that at this stage of life, YOU can do anything you put your mind to do!
Free time? I don’t have too much of it these days. Mainly I work on my own homework, spend time with my 13-year-old boxer, time with my boyfriend and watch college football. Before the pandemic, we occasionally went to sporting events at Chapel Hill as he is a UNC Alumni. When I get the chance, I love to steal a few quiet moments away with a great coffee drink, read or binge watch programs on Netflix or TLC, or watch that show that helps new lottery winners spend their winnings on awesome houses!
So when you have a few minutes, reach out to me. I am looking forward to meeting you! You are WONDERful!
Hey Wonders, my name is Garrett Deal and I'm the counselor for the class of 2026. #wonder2026 I also work specifically with our English Learners and all Foreign Exchange students. I've been working at A.L. Brown in some capacity since I graduated from here in 2008. I've served as the Drumliune Instructor and Assistant Band director, as well as a substitute teacher and counseling intern. Needless to say my heart is here at A.L. Brown.
For my education, I attended NC State University and earned my undergraduate degree in Communication, followed by a Masters in School Counseling from UNC Charlotte. While attending higher education, I developed a love for exploring what technical schools, community colleges, and skills-based training can do. So whether you plan to attend a four year school or are looking for a trade program, I'd love to talk with you.
In my free time, I love playing tennis, working outside in the yard, playing video games, and watching Netflix. I also love spending time with my wife Megan and our playful Golden Retriever named Brady. I look forward to working with everyone this year, GO WONDERS!!!
