Jubail Industrial College
I am a dedicated Saudi female researcher with a strong background in numerical analysis. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Mathematics from King Faisal University, where I graduated with honors. Supported by the prestigious King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP), I pursued my Master's in Applied and Computational Mathematics at Old Dominion University, USA, followed by a graduate certificate in modeling and simulation.
I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where I was supervised by Daniele Boffi. I was honored to receive a full governmental scholarship from the Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu and was recognized on the Dean’s List of top students in the CEMSE Division at KAUST.
My research focuses on the numerical analysis and approximation of partial differential equations, particularly interface problems and coupled multiphysics models such as fluid–structure interaction. I specialize in finite element methods, mixed finite element formulations, fictitious domain methods with distributed Lagrange multipliers, and robust preconditioning and iterative solution techniques for large-scale saddle-point systems.
Assistant Professor at the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
Beyond my academic and research pursuits, I am deeply committed to mentoring and empowering female students to pursue careers in science and research. At KAUST, I actively engage in initiatives that cultivate talent in mathematics, AI, and deep learning. Additionally, I place significant emphasis on developing my leadership and entrepreneurial skills through specialized programs and certifications, particularly in Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Total Quality Management (TQM), and strategic planning.
