Notices Week Commencing 13th August-Term 3
Finally the indications that we are moving out of winter and into spring are beginning to show. Our annual abundance of daffodils are blooming and make the entrance to the school very special. In addition to this Mr. Allen has been busy cutting the grass and that fresh cut smell is a welcome respite from the rain.
This week we held our annual senior speech finals in the Library. Once again there was a very high standard. Each class had previously held their own competition and the top year 5 & 6 were selected to represent their class. Speeches are not for everyone and for some students a real challenge. Never the less all students presented and were well supported by their class mates, which I particularly admire. For those who do enjoy public speaking, this is their chance to shine. And shine they did. Congratulations to Zoe, Scott, Taarini, Jeremy, Grace, Lily, Martha & Toby who represented their class. Congratulations to Grace (Year 5) and Lily (Year 6) who were overall winners.

Last week we wrote to you about the planned strike action on Wednesday 15th August. Unfortunately due to the larger than anticipated number of students requiring supervision on that day, and the very limited number of staff available we will need to close the school. We appreciate that this is inconvenient for parents and students alike, but please be assured that student safety is our main concern.
