This is my twenty-fifth year teaching high school. I taught at Kaufman High School for five years, then at Highland Park High School for one year before returning to KHS in 2005. So I've been at KHS for a total of twenty-four years. I taught English Language Studies in Barcelona, Spain in 1996-1997. I also served as a guest lecturer on American Studies at the University of Vic, Catalunya, Spain in the spring of 1997. I served as a teaching assistant in the History/Political Science department at Southern Nazarene University in 1994-1996. I also serve as a Table Leader and Trainer of teachers and
college professors who grade the AP World History exam each summer at the Advanced Placement Exam
Grading in Kansas City, Missouri.
Education:
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History at Southern Nazarene University in 1995.
I attained my teacher certification from Texas A&M Commerce in 1999.
I earned my Masters Degree in the Humanities from Southern Methodist University in 2017
International Travels:
1986 - Canada (Calgary, Lake Louise, Banff, Drumheller, Saskatchewan and more)
1993 - Venezuela (Caracas, Barinas and more. I was there during the first failed coup of Hugo Chavez!)
1995 - First trip to Spain and Catalunya (Seville, Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona)
