Mojo Showcase

The Mojo Showcase is a High School Boys' Soccer Tournament hosted by all Katy ISD High School teams. The name of the tournament is in honor of Morgan Jones who lost her battle with cancer in 2015. She is the daughter of Ami and Tom Jones. Coach Jones started the program and is the current head soccer coach at Tompkins High School in Katy.

Morgan Taylor Jones, aka MoJo, was born April 21, 2004 in The Woodlands, Texas. She found her passion in competitive cheer and was known for her smiles and facials as she performed. In September of 2014, at the age of 10, a large mass on her chest wall and around her spine was discovered. She was diagnosed as having Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor and categorized as a soft tissue sarcoma cancer.

Throughout her battle with cancer including 28 days of radiation, and 2 rounds of clinical trial chemo therapies she adopted the motto POSITIVE MOJO. Morgan faced her cancer fearlessly and fought to overcome the pain, discomfort, and struggle to defeat the tumor.

The Tompkins Boys' soccer program can be heard shouting Positive Mojo at the end of every practice, prior to games, and at other events to keep the passion and determination of Morgan Jones alive with them.
