KHS Library Mission

It is our mission at the Katy High School library to empower all students to be critical thinkers, avid readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users and creators of information.

While supporting the school's curriculum and vision, the library and its staff is here to provide a culturally diverse student body with quality resources and reading materials that meet and anticipate their academic and personal needs.

Intellectual Freedom Self-Censorship Statement. Reading is a joy, a privilege, and the right of every student. As you select the library books you will read, please understand that every book is not the best choice for every student. If a book is unappealing or offensive to you in any way, please return it and select another. You, the student, know better than we, the library staff, what materials best serve you and your standards and beliefs.
