Pembarthi Bidri Craft is a traditional form of metalwork that primarily employs the use of blackened alloy metals made from a resin and earth mixture, with brass and copper being popular choices. After casting the metal into the desired shape, the intricate designs are etched onto the surface. Pembarthi artisans create designs on the metal surface with fine wires of silver, brass, and copper. Trays, vases, bowls, candle holders, and other items are created by this metalworker.
