Mrs. Hopkins has asked if we could please spend some time and give her some feedback about the furniture arrangements that we currently have in Grade 5 & 6. She would specifically like to know about our new flexible furniture and has asked us to take 15 minutes to complete this short survey.

You will need to use your Kalinda Log-in to complete the survey, all questions must be answered in order for your survey to be submitted and you can only complete the survey once.

Many thanks!

Welcome back to school for Term 3. As usual, it promises to be a busy one.

This term we have our CBL Economics Units - Needs and Wants. Our students will be challenged to work in groups as their own 'company', come up with a product to develop and sell, pitch their idea (just like in 'Shark Tank' to a committee, and produce and sell their product for a profit during our Kalinda Market Day.

Market Day will be Wednesday 13th September (Week 9 of Term 3).

If you have any concerns or queries, please don't hesitate to see your child's teacher.

We have planned an excursion to Werribee Zoo where students will look at the adaptations that animals use in order to continue to survive. This is part of our Grade 5 and 6 Science curriculum.

The excursion is planned for Thursday 17th August and students will need to be at school by 8:20am on this morning in order for the buses to depart school at 8:30am sharp. Students will need to wear appropriate school uniform and bring a small backpack which will contain their drink bottles of water and their snack and lunch. We do hope that the weather is kind to us, as this is not a weather dependent activity and we will head off to the zoo rain, hail or shine.

Tomorrow our school leadership team will visit the Shrine for their schools Anzac Day commemorative service. They will place a wreath at the Shrine on behalf of Kalinda Primary School.

Next Tuesday is Anzac Day and a public holiday.

Click here for ANZAC Day activities and information.

Next Thursday is our school House Cross Country Carnival (weather permitting). Remember to bring your running legs, water bottles and wear appropriate footwear. You may wear a top in your House Color with blue or black shorts or skort.
