2013-14 School Year

- Funding the purchase of additional equipment to support the instruction of special students with severe multiple impairments.

- Subsidizing the transportation of students to college fairs, JROTC drill meets and camps, and other education-related activities.

- Funding the purchase of equipment to support a newly-created book club designed to encourage reading.

- Funding to support the development of the Ho'okipa Workforce Academy, a program being developed in partnership between the school and various local corporations to assist students to become college and career ready in the hospitality industry upon graduation from high school.

- Subsidizing the transportation costs for students to participate in college fairs and tours at v arious venues.

- Providing funding for the purchase of equipment to support chemistry and biology instruction.

- Funding for the continued development and implementation of the Robotics program at KHS.

- Funding to purchase equipment necessary to support the Shakespeare Festival other performing arts programs.

2011-12 School Year

- Funding to continue the robotics program developed in the 2010-11 school year.

- Funding to purchase equipment and resource materials for the first AVID (Advancement Via

Individual Determination) Program Center.*

- Subsidized the transportation of students to college fairs and JROTC drill meets and camps.

- Funding to support programs to enhance test-taking skills.

- Funding for updating sound equipment for use in the school curricula.

* The AVID Program targets middle-percentile students from non-college-parent backgrounds who are interested in attending college. The program teaches them academic skills and habits necessary for college success.

2010-11 School Year

- The purchase of computers for student use in the school library.

- Supporting the development and offering of a College & Career Fair for all students.

- Subsidized the transportation costs for Science students to study the Paepae o Heeia ancient

fish pond.

- Provided funding for the purchase of a Classroom Performance System designed to enhance the

learning of current and future science students.

- Funding for the development and implementation of the first Robotics program.

- Funding to support programs designed to enhance reading and testing skills.

2009-10 School Year

- Funding for the purchase of motion detectors and software for use in Physics classes.

- Subsidized the cost of printing the yearbook.

- Helped pay for transportation costs for JROTC cadets to attend camps and competition.

- Provided funding to support the speaker program which is designed to assist students to get

into post-secondary educational institutions and to develop their job interview skills.

- Funding to support the Performing Arts Program.

- Funding to support programs designed to enhance reading and testing skills.

- Funding to subsidize transportation costs to enable Marine Science and Environmental Science

classes to travel to Hanauma Bay to conduct studies designed to teach students the impact they have on the environment.
