Nutrition Specialists are all Licensed and Registered Dietitians or MS Degreed Functional Medicine Dietitians with experience in functional nutrition, coaching, sports nutrition, digestive disease, supplements, weight loss, behavioral change and more.
During your initial assessment we will look at your DNA to evaluate how what you eat affects your genes as well as your overall health. Your genes can determine how sensitive you are to salt, if you are lactose intolerant, how likely you are to become vitamin D deficient, how well you tolerate caffeine, how efficient your body is at repairing injuries, and so much more.
DNA testing can explain why two individuals of similar age, stature, and activity levels will react differently to the same diet. Should you be consuming more or less saturated fat? Can you eat carbs and lose weight? What supplements should you be taking? How does your metabolism affect your weight loss? Why do you crave sweets or overeat? What is the best calorie and macronutrient range for you? These are all questions that our SNIP-FIT dietitian can help you determine.
Once we receive your results, our nutrition programs are derived from your unique genetic makeup to determine what foods are best for you. The exact customization of your plan for YOUR body is what makes us different. Your results will unlock the secret to healthy eating with a plan that’s personalized just for you. Once we learn your unique nutrition needs, we will educate, coach, and motivate you to successfully achieve and sustain all your wellness goals.
You will never be instructed to follow a fad diet, but rather you will be coached only on evidence-based principles as well as your own DNA to teach you how to make smarter food, physical activity, and lifestyle choices. We will teach you how to be successful on your own so that you can make the healthier choice no matter what situation you are in. From educating clients on the basics of nutrition, such as portion sizing, meal planning, and nutrition label reading, to helping them determine the best macronutrient proportions, calorie amounts, and physical activities for their DNA, you will learn real-life skills and changes that can help you get – and stay – healthy for a lifetime.
