Based out of the Nesbitt Discovery Academy in Asheville, North Carolina, the NDA Combat Robotics Club is a new organization that aims to introduce high school students to the hobby of combat robotics. We operate through both an instructional and hands-on environment, both instructing students on the basics of combat robot design while giving their teams the ability to design, test, and fight their own robots.
As a high school club, our mission is to educate students on the principles of robotics and engineering while also promoting the hobby of combat robotics to the wider community.
Educate: Based out of a public STEM high school, the Nesbitt Combat Robotics club aims to provide students with an environment where they can apply STEM principles in a practical, fun environment.
Promote: The Nesbitt Combat Robotics club also aims to introduce students to combat robotics as a hobby that they could pursue outside of the classroom, showing them how to get started and connecting them with events within the community.
