Hello, and welcome to another year at Edison Preparatory High School! My name is Mary Satterlee, and this is my 13th year of teaching deaf education. I have a BA from the University of Tulsa, and a Master's Degree in Deaf Education/Deaf Studies from Lamar University in Texas. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked as a sign language interpreter for many years.
This year, my schedule includes Algebra I, Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Adaptive Life Skills, Careers/Study Skills, and English. I believe that all students can excel if they are given the right tools. Respect in the classroom is paramount. As a teacher, I not only present the curriculum, but I also help the students to become responsible adults.
