Deer

Introduction

Deer are mammals that live in thick gorges in forests. They should be referred to herds when they are in a group. To learn more about these magical beasts read my website down below.

Physical Features

There head to body length is 6-7 feet but ground to shoulders is 4-5 feet . the wait of a deer is around 200 through 350! moose on the other hand are heaviest they way about 1,250 -1,500

Habitat

Deer are naturally found in Europe, Asia, North America, Northern Africa and South America. But humans have domesticated them to everywhere.

Behavior

Most deer travel in groups called herds. Males tend to spend a hunk of time alone. Deer mate any-time of the year but they breed in Autumn or Winter.

Life Cycle

Fist of all males go in search for a mate. This is called a deer rut. Sometimes they might need to fight over the female deer, they never mean to seriously hurt any other deer they just want to show who is strong and who is boss. When babies are born they are called fawn. They half lots of spots when they are young. Then the cycle of life starts all over again.

Additional Fact

Deer are strictly vegetarian witch means they only eat plants no meat. They chew there food then spit it back out then swallow it all over again!!

Deer predators are wild dogs, wild cats, wolfs, foxes, cougars, coyotes, mountain lions ,and bob cats.
