This is a year long course broken down by semester.
Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to focus on the following areas of computer science:
Software Development
Cybersecurity
Data Analytics (using data to make decisions)
Computer Modeling
Students have the opportunity to learn core principles of computer science by using the Python programming language to develop software applications. This typically takes up the entirety of the first semester as students will build larger and more complex applications. Starting in the second semester students learn how to make programs more secure. Students complete the year with learning how to use data to drive program development and using computers to model a variety of situations.
