This summer was a great combination of relaxing and productive! I continued my studies for my PK-12 Administration Master's through the University of South Dakota- sorry, SDSU fans... I was also able to read a few books and enjoy the sunshine, as well as spend time with family by taking a vacation to Vegas and the Black Hills.

My family is very important to me and my husband. We were wed in June of 2018, but have been together since 2012. In the time that we have been together, we have been faced with three cancer diagnoses. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. Thankfully, she is doing well! My brother-in-law was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in the fall of 2015. After a long, hard fight, he passed away in January of 2021. This last summer (July 2024), my husband's stepdad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. We strive to spend more time with our families holding on to every moment we have and finding joy in the hard times.

I am a third-generation teacher. I have been inspired by so many of my past teachers, colleagues, and classmates to be where I am today. I love what I do, and I can't wait to meet each of your awesome students! If there is ever anything you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to reach out using my contact info on my homepage. Here's to a great school year!

My husband works as the Local Sales Manager at Dakota News Now (KSFY). We own a cute but sassy puppy named Oakley. Do not be fooled by his cute face! ;) We love watching movies, playing board games (Scrabble and Ticket to Ride), and cooking together.
