Kindergarten
The first year of school is such an important part of your child's development. It is where the build the foundation for the rest of their learning, and I want to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible. I aim to make your child feel welcome and to show them how great school can be.
About me
Mrs. Knutson graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, SD. She attended South Dakota State University where she obtained a B.S. in Early Childhood Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement. She also obtained her Elementary Certification from Dakota State University in Madison, SD. She was an elementary teacher’s aide at Mellette Elementary in Watertown for one year before coming to Parker Elementary in August of 2000. She taught First Grade for three years, and then moved to Kindergarten, which she has been teaching since 2003.
Mrs. Knutson lives in Parker, with her husband and dog, Jazzy. They have a blended family of 5 children and twin grandsons. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking walks, cheering on the Jackrabbits, traveling, baking, shopping, reading, and fixing jigsaw puzzles.
