Learn how to access more than $150 billion in grants, loans, and work-study funds from the federal government to help you pay for college; tips to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which will be available October 1 for the 2025-2026 award years; and how to access more than $70 million in scholarships and grants that are awarded to Hawaiʻi students each year to help pay for college, regardless of family income.
These free Virtual Scholarship Workshops will feature a panel of experts from Sallie Mae, Hawai‘i Community Foundation, and University of Hawai‘i System who will discuss how Hawaiʻi students, regardless of their family income, can access more than $70 million to help pay for college; how to use scholarship search engines to help find scholarships you may be eligible for; and tips on applying for scholarships and how to create a winning scholarship essay.

2023 W-2 forms for you and your parents
2023 federal income tax forms for you and your parents
most current statements from all accounts for you and your parents (checking, savings, investments, etc.)
Value of investments, farms, business
Other prior year benefits (workers comp, military, clergy, veteran amounts)
Information you will need:
student email address (not the high school email) and cell number
parent email and cell number
student social security number
parents social security number
If you are not a US citizen, your permanent resident/green card
parents date of birth
students driver's license (optional)
month and year parents were married, divorced, or separated
highest level of school your parents completed
WE WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO DISCLOSE THIS INFORMATION TO ANYONE AT THE EVENT. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SELF-REPORT THIS INFO INTO THE FORM.
