Welcome to The Hub

Win a Wood Hill Wolf!

The Hub will be running a raffle for a stuffed wolf in celebration of our new mascot, the Wood Hill Wolves! You can earn a raffle ticket a number of ways: every time you return a book to The Hub (each book returned equals a raffle ticket); if you take home a book from the withdrawn carts outside the library; if your teacher sees you doing something that embodies the Ubuntu spirit. The raffle will be drawn on Monday, June 7. There will be a prize drawn for each grade level, meaning we will have 3 winners!

Welcome, students and parents, to Wood Hill Middle School's library, The Hub. We are so excited to welcome you to our space and to share our love of books and reading. In addition to being a well-stocked and well-loved library, we also work with teachers and students on a number of different topics pertaining to digital literacy.

My goal is to teach students research and information access skills; literature appreciation; library skills; media production use; and critical thinking and problem solving skills. I work closely with teachers on their projects, providing students with access to print and multimedia resources.

Changes for 2020-2021 school year

Students will be able to book browse and borrow from The Hub during Open Library Flex on Mondays and Wednesdays last period. Students can also place books on hold through the Follett Destiny library catalog, accessible through ClassLink, and books will be delivered to their ELA teachers for pickup. Remote Academy students may pick up their books from the Wood Hill lobby on Fridays.

Learn how to search the catalog and put a book on hold, or add it to your favorites list.

Students can also access independent reading books digitally through the library catalog's ebook collection, audiobook collection, or Lightbox titles.

New this year is access to Sora, accessible through ClassLink, which has more than 1,000 ebooks and audiobooks, and can be linked to the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium's Overdrive catalog with thousands of titles.

Learn how to use it! and how to add books to favorites lists.
