Welcome to The Hub
Welcome, students and parents, to Wood Hill Middle School's library, The Hub. We are so excited to welcome you to our space and to share our love of books and reading. In addition to being a well-stocked and well-loved library, we also work with teachers and students on a number of different topics pertaining to digital literacy.
My goal is to teach students research and information access skills; literature appreciation; library skills; media production use; and critical thinking and problem solving skills. I work closely with teachers on their projects, providing students with access to print and multimedia resources.
Changes for 2020-2021 school year
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, students will be unable to book browse and borrow in the traditional way. Instead students will place books on hold through the Follett Destiny library catalog, accessible through ClassLink, and books will be delivered to homerooms on Mondays and Thursdays. Remote Academy students may pick up their books from the Wood Hill lobby on Fridays.
Learn how to search the catalog and put a book on hold, or add it to your favorites list.
Students can also access independent reading books digitally through the library catalog's ebook collection, audiobook collection, or Lightbox titles.
New this year is access to Sora, accessible through ClassLink, which has more than 500 ebooks and audiobooks, and can be linked to the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium's Overdrive catalog with thousands of titles.
WHMS Technology Pledge
I agree to use excellent digital etiquette and be an exemplary Wood Hill Middle School citizen by taking care of the technology we have in the building, using all online tools appropriately and with respect, and making sure I always have something interesting and meaningful to say.
