About VisionPlay

VisionPlay is a business-to-business (B2B) Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) signage player developed by Justbaat. It is installed on dedicated Android TV / display devices deployed at public venues such as malls, airports, transit hubs, retail outlets, and offices, and is operated by Justbaat or its authorized partners.

The app is not designed for use by individual consumers. There are no user accounts, sign-ups, or personal logins. This privacy policy explains what information VisionPlay collects from the devices on which it runs, how that information is used, and the rights available to device operators and venue owners.

1. Information We Collect

VisionPlay collects only the information required to operate as a remote-managed signage player. We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, government identifiers, addresses, financial information, health data, photos, videos, audio recordings, contacts, calendar data, SMS, or files from the device.

The information we collect includes:

a) Device Information

• Device Identifier: Generated and assigned by Justbaat at registration time, used to map the physical device to a "touchpoint" in our content management system.

• Hardware & OS Details: The Android device model, operating system version, screen resolution, and app version. This is used for operational monitoring and crash diagnostics.

• Network Status: Connectivity state (whether the device is online or offline).

b) Approximate Location

• VisionPlay derives an approximate geographic location from the device's public IP address (city / region level).

• It does NOT use GPS, Wi-Fi triangulation, or any precise location service, and does not request the Android location permission.

• Approximate location is used to identify where each signage device is deployed for operational reporting and analytics.

c) App Usage and Playback Analytics

• Records of which content (campaigns, creatives, slots) the device played, the start and end times of each playback, the assigned device loop number, and the outcome (completed, skipped, error).

• Aggregate counters such as total loops per day, time spent online, and uptime statistics.

• This data is associated with the device identifier, not with any individual person.

d) Crash and Diagnostic Data

• When the app crashes or encounters an error, technical information about the crash (stack trace, OS state, app version) is captured by Google Firebase Crashlytics so the development team can diagnose and fix issues.

• Firebase Analytics records general application events (app launched, content loaded, feature used) to monitor app health.

2. How We Use the Information

We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:

• To operate the VisionPlay device: Fetch its assigned content schedule, deliver the right campaigns at the right time, and confirm playback.

• To monitor device health: Detect unreachable devices, hardware faults, network outages, and other operational issues.

• To generate analytics: Create reports for venue partners, advertisers, and internal operations regarding content delivery performance.

• To serve advertising: Deliver creatives on the device and measure ad performance.

• To debug and improve: Optimize the app through crash and diagnostic data analysis.

⚠️ Note: We do NOT use this information for cross-app profiling of individuals, advertising to the device viewer based on their personal identity, or any purpose unrelated to operating the signage network.

3. Third-Party Services

VisionPlay uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

Data transmitted to these services is governed by Google's terms.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent any data collected by VisionPlay. We share data only with:

• Google services listed in Section 3, in the scope necessary for those services to function.

• Authorized Justbaat partners and clients, in the form of aggregated campaign-performance reports tied to their own venues and campaigns.

• Government or law-enforcement authorities, only when required by applicable law.

5. Data Storage and Security

• In Transit: All network communication between the VisionPlay app and Justbaat's backend is encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS.

• At Rest: Data is stored on servers operated by Justbaat or its cloud-infrastructure providers, with access restricted strictly to authorized Justbaat personnel.

Despite these protections, no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data in transit or at rest.

6. Data Retention

• Metadata: Device identifiers and operational metadata are retained for as long as the device is active in the Justbaat network, and for up to 24 months after deactivation.

• Analytics: Playback analytics and aggregate counters are retained for up to 24 months for reporting purposes.

• Diagnostics: Crash and diagnostic data is retained per Google Firebase defaults (typically 90 days for crash records).

7. Your Rights

If you are a venue owner, advertiser, or operator whose device or content is associated with VisionPlay, you may:

• Request a copy of data we hold relating to your devices or campaigns.

• Request correction of inaccurate information.

• Request deletion of your data and removal of your device from our systems, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

VisionPlay is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children. The app has no end-user-facing functionality. It does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage device operators to review this policy periodically.
