Introduce students to countries and cultures from around the world through hands-on, creative activities. Students will create a flip book, make a flag and an art project that represents the country. The countries students will explore are the following: Brasil, China, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, and Mexico.

Students will accomplish Social Emotional Learning goals through Visual Arts using a variety of art mediums, including watercolors and oil chalk, coupled with Hands On Crafts.

Los estudiantes lograrán los objetivos de aprendizaje socioemocional a través de las artes visuales utilizando una variedad de medios artísticos, que incluyen acuarelas y tiza al óleo, junto con Hands On Crafts (manualidades).

Students will be creating and designing their own comic book on a superhero of their imagination. Students will also get a change to design and build the costume or mask for superhero. Students will have a chance to help each other with design and brainstorming.

Let’s make guided reading and social-emotional learning fun this summer! Students will develop their reading through science, art, and PE (S.A.P.). We will engage in fun games, complete art projects and science experiments that promote collaboration and team building. Students will also develop their socio-emotional learning by building positive peer relationships in a fun environment.

LEAP into summer with basketball! Come learn how to pass, dribble, shoot, and play the game! We will learn about teamwork, the foundations of basketball, and have a lot of fun! Come build your self-confidence, while developing offensive, defensive, and team building skills!

STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Students will engage with problem solving skills, the use of creativity, and most of all excitement that comes with learning! We will be creating small experiments that will challenge students to think outside the box while they engage in social skills and team building.

Students will learn the basics of coding and will be able to program an ozobot using color sequences.

Los estudiantes aprenderán los conceptos básicos de la codificación y podrán programar un ozobot usando secuencias de colores.

Students will learn basic fundamental soccer skills, team building skills, social skills, and how healthy eating habits contribute to being active. No equipment or special attire needed. Wear comfortable clothes and running shoes.

Los estudiantes aprenderán habilidades básicas fundamentales de fútbol, habilidades para formar equipos, habilidades sociales y cómo los hábitos alimenticios saludables contribuyen a estar activos. No se necesita equipo ni vestimenta especial. Use ropa cómoda y zapatos para correr.

Let's get physical! My class will broken up into 2 parts, physical fitness and model building. The 1st half of the day will be physical fitness. We will engage in various stretches, calisthenics, high intensity impact training (lunges, burpees, mountain climbers), and jogging/running. The 2nd half of the day will be model building. Students will work in groups and independently. They will be challenged with following directions necessary to build model cars and airplanes.

¡Vamos a lo físico! Mi clase se dividirá en 2 partes, aptitud física y construcción de modelos. La primera mitad del día será la aptitud física. Participaremos en varios estiramientos, calistenia, entrenamiento de impacto de alta intensidad (zancadas, burpees, escaladores de montaña) y trote/carrera. La segunda mitad del día será la construcción de modelos. Los estudiantes trabajarán en grupos e independientemente. Tendrán el desafío de seguir las instrucciones necesarias para construir modelos de autos y aviones.
