Have fun practicing and building reading and math skills. Using activities such as music, movement, games, play-doh, slimy sand, and hands on activities students will practice and build phonemic awareness, sight word knowledge, reading fluency, and addition and subtraction fluency to 10.

Students will also develop social and relational capabilities as they collaborate in group activities to broaden their diverse visions of the world through academic and entertaining lessons.

Student will engage is fun sports both team and individual establishing healthy and supportive relationships.. Student will develop abilities to understand one’s own emotions, thoughts and values and how they influence behavior across contexts, along with developing abilities to manage one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors effectively in different situations and to achieve goals and aspirations using emotion and self regulation strategies using boom cards and libraries .

We will be reading chapter books, working on comprehension, playing math games, as well as working on interesting science subject matter. The students will also be going out to participate in structured physical education.

Students will spend the month learning different elements of music through guitar, bucket drumming, singing, and dancing. All materials will be provided by the school, but students will be allowed to bring their own guitar. At the end of the month, there will be a cumulative performance (as allowed) where students can show off everything they have learned.

Students will engage in a variety of fun fitness activities, sports, and games. Physical Fitness activities will allow students to have fun and exercise while also learning to work together with their peers.

Students will also participate in a variety of activities to help promote Social and Emotional Wellness including how to deal with a variety of emotions.
