Funded by 2014 Measure EE, this 21,000 square foot "Innovation Center" at Jurupa Valley High School immerses students in the latest technology as they engage in the creative process across multiple career technical pathways offered at the school, including Engineering & Design, Buildings & Construction, and Manufacturing & Product Design. Innovation Center spaces include a computer lab for students to brainstorm and research their big ideas, a 3D printing lab to prototype their inventions, and workstations with ample space. State-of-the-art technology such as CNC machines, welding simulators, and laser cutters are also accessible to students inside the space.
Community Involvement
Connections between classroom curriculum and real-world industry are crucial to student learning in JUSD's career pathways. To fuse this connection, Tesla, Inc. visited the innovation center to teach students the real-life applications of STEAM innovations. JVHS also collaborates with Norco College to offer dual enrollment college classes on the JVHS campus.
