Meet Ms. Meisterling

Hello! I am Ms. Aly Meisterling, and I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to teach at JCS Innovation Centre Temecula. This year will be my first year teaching Kindergarten, and I am looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning, growing and exploring with your child. It is important for me to create meaningful and intentional relationships with my students, implementing exciting and engaging curriculum with real world application. In my classroom, I devote my time and energy to creating a space for my students that is nurturing, harmonious, safe and joyful. My goal and priority for your child is to see them grow and ultimately love being at school.

Teaching Background:

After obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, I was granted the Lumos Award to teach English in Ghana, West Africa, with Lattitude Global Volunteering for 5 months. I went on to serve both Peace Corps Sierra Leone and Nicaragua, teaching English to children from primary and secondary schools.

From there, I obtained my teaching credential through Azusa Pacific University. I was hired at La Costa Heights Elementary in the Encinitas Union School District, where I taught Visual and Performing Arts to grades K-6 for the majority of the year. I was then hired on as the Middle School Humanities Teachers at Julian Charter School- ICT in March 2018. I recently completed and received my Master of Arts in Education, Learning and Technology in May 2018.

Personal Background:

I am a southern California native, and my family is where I consider myself home. I currently live in San Marcos, CA with my fiancé, Michael and our Huskies, Sage & Sakari, and kitty, Selena.

I love coffee, hiking, yoga, books, photos and music. My favorite thing to do is travel! I have been to 18 countries, and experiencing new places, cultures and food will always be a priority for me.
