DEAN R&D; Professor E&TC
Dr. Shailaja Patil is Dean (R&D) at Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune, and has 30 years of teaching/ research experience.
She carried out research at SVNIT Surat, with research focus on “Statistical Techniques in Localization and Tracking using Wireless Sensor Network”. She has 100+ publications in International conference and peer reviewed journals.
Her Ph.D. candidates are pursuing research in IOT, 5G networks, and Image Processing with focus on Deep Learning.
She has delivered expert talks on Deep Learning, WSN, IoT, SDN, Research Methodology and IPR at various workshops.
She has received research fund from Savitribai Phule Pune University, AICTE and DST for Research in WSN and IoT.
She is a registered Indian patent agent and also holds a PG Diploma in “Intellectual Property Rights” from NALSAR Law University. She guides students and faculty members in filing and prosecution of patents. She has two granted patents to her credit, 8 filed patents..
She is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Senior member IEEE, and Chair of IEEE WiE AG, Pune section.
She is the recipient of “AICTE VISVESARAYA BEST TEACHER AWARD” in 2020 and “IEEE Pune section’s BEST RESEARCHER/ INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD ”.2021. "IP Contributor Award" from FICCI and IPTSE in 2022.
