My name is Mrs. Packard, and I teach 5th grade Reading Language Arts and Social Studies. This will be my 8th year teaching and my 7th year teaching 5th grade. My husband is a high-school teacher & golf coach in Saginaw ISD. We have two daughters, Teagan and Landry, and one son, Jack! Teagan is a 9th grader at JHS, Landry is four, and Jack is two.
I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Fifth grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning activities to celebrate. In order to have a fun year, my most important goal is to create a family of learners in my classroom. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, integral part of our family of learners. In order to accomplish this, I have planned a variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal. It is my hope that you will support and encourage this vision at home.
"We, Mrs. Packard's 5th grade students, will work collaboratively with all PCE students and staff, have and model integrity for younger students and Plum Creek, and show kindness to EVERYONE at PCE , while giving 100% effort on all daily assignments, quizzes, and assessments in class."
By the end of the year, 100% of the 5th grade students will meet or exceed the 5th grade standards as measured by nine weeks tests, benchmarks, and the 5th grade RLA STAAR test.
