Hello, Parents!
Teachers and Curriculum Specialists put great thought into bringing the very best curricula to the students of Jonesboro Public Schools. These curricula were created by some of the top researchers and practitioners in education such as: Doug Fisher, Timothy Shanahan, Jeff Anderson, and The College Board
As we implement, you will notice your student is reading and writing more than ever. That’s by design. We want our students reading engaging texts and speaking and writing about those texts daily. We are dedicated to providing educational experiences and skills that will prepare students to successfully achieve their post high school plans, and we believe the curricula we have chosen will aid in that endeavor. Strategic and Critical Reading Courses
Students who need additional support in reading may be placed in a class designed to deliver instruction on foundational reading skills. These courses employ proven resources and programs to fill in learning gaps and increase reading success.
