Returning users can click the above button to access your Cane Academy Procare Works portal! Here you can see and pay your balance online, find tax information, register for full day care, and update information.
2026 SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION
Summer registration will open on Monday, March 9th at noon for the students that are currently enrolled in the after school program and/or for those that attended the 2025 Summer Program.
Registration for those that have never attended Cane Academy or attended prior to the summer of 2025, registration will open on Wednesday, March 18th at noon.
Registration is open to JPS students that have graduated kindergarten and are going into sixth grade.
You will receive an email that says we have received your child's registration. You will receive a phone call to let you know about placement.
Summer dates:
May 27th through July 29th-9 weeks
For those that the child will be absent for one week of vacation, we do not bill for that one week.
JPS's last day of school is May 22nd and the first day of the the 2026/2027 is August 12th.
The summer program will be located at the Jonesboro Kindergarten Center, 618 W. Nettleton

2025/2026 AFTERSCHOOL INFORMATION
UPDATE 8/13/2025: All Cane Academy sites are full with a large waiting list. The after school registration is now closed. Children that are on the waiting list will be called if a spot should open up at their site.
Registration for current Cane Academy students(those that attended the 2024/2025 school year or 2025 Summer Program) and also incoming Kindergarteners will open on Tuesday, July 15th at noon.
Students that have not attended in the last year or are new to the program will register on Tuesday, July 22nd at noon.
Registration shows an interest in attending the program, but does not guarantee placement. All new students to the program will be called about placement.

The Cane Academy child care program offers quality supervised activities and a stimulating environment for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade as an exciting alternative to “just babysitting”. The program provides a variety of educational, recreational, and developmental activities, both active and passive.
A concerned and caring staff will help the children become self-directed and self-disciplined individuals. Each child will be valued as a unique person capable of worthy ideas and actions. A major objective will be to provide a caring and supportive social/emotional climate to help children develop self-respect for their own ideas and abilities.
