AN NCGOP THAT SERVES ITS MEMBERS
The North Carolina Republican Party Plan of Organization was established "for the purpose of uniting and coordinating our efforts for maximum power and efficiency, and providing focus to win elections." Has the NCGOP been successful? It depends.
If it exists to serve the interests of its largest donor, the RNC, it has been successful. If it exists to protect elected Republicans who abandon the party platform, it has been successful. If it exists as a stepping stone to a more prominent position with the RNC, it has been successful.
If the NCGOP exists to serve its members - Republicans in North Carolina - it has FAILED.
