Dear Parent/Carers,
We have now moved through a full cycle of our two week timetable and students are now settled into general school routines. It has been a notably calm and settled start to the academic year. I was personally delighted to see year 11 students already attending a GCSE after school session in preparation for their examinations this week and this speaks volumes about attitude and character.
Our new sixth form cohort have also made a fabulous start to their studies and have clearly transitioned into the more independent and responsible atmosphere of our vibrant sixth form and embraced our #growingleaders culture.
Next week we have our website company on site on the 23 September (Wednesday) in order to update our website photographs. They will be in and around the school taking photographs. Please be assured that we will be checking permissions and no photo will be used on the website that we do not have permission to use.
Phone pouches continue to be used very well and it is good to see students taking responsibility for their use. Please remember that the pouch must be available for checking at all times.
Huge congratulations to Ali in year 7 for his fantastic performance in his latest national go-karting race. Ali showed incredible skill and speed on the track, qualifying in 3rd place, securing multiple top-10 finishes, and even setting a fastest lap before finishing 9th overall in a tough field of 34 drivers. Off the track, Ali represented himself brilliantly during an interview with the media team for their YouTube channel, answering questions with fantastic confidence. Good luck to Ali as he heads to Silverstone this coming weekend for his final national race of the year. We are all cheering you on!
Take Care - Ian Brierly
