CDL Delivery Driver

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations in and out of state. This is a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Duties:

1. Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles into restaurants and grocery stores

2. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

3. Down stack and sort pallets to ensure accurate delivery to customer

4. Safely operate company vehicles, such as refrigerated truck.

5. Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries

6. Use equipment such as pallet jacks, hand dolly or other tools to assist with loading and unloading

7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members

8. Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition

9. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

10. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions

11. Weekly overnight delivery trips are required 

12. Follow all JFC and DOT regulations.

13. Collect payment from customers.

14. Other related duties.

Minimum Experience:

1. At least 2 years previous experience as a Delivery Driver, preferably in restaurant, grocery, or retail delivery.

Special Requirements:

1. Familiarity with various delivery vehicles, such as box trucks and refrigerated truck

2. Ability to operate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus

3. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record

4. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members

5. Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately

6. Strong problem solving skills encouraged

7. Knowledge of route planning, navigation systems, and electronic logs.

8. Good customer service skills

9. Must be able to read, write and speak English

10. Good problem solving skills

11. Dependable work ethic

12. Ability to work independently and in team settings

13. Must be able to prioritize and adjust to immediate workload requirements

14. Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record

15. Lifting/carrying up to about 75 lbs (sacks of rice)

16. Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs.

17. Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations

18. Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

19. Strong attention to detail and highly accurate

22. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays

Pay: 

$26.00 per hour
