The mission of the East Middle Youth Service Center (YSC) is to enhance students' success in school by coordinating resources that strengthen students, families, and our school community. Middle school is a time of huge growth and transition. We are here to remove non-academic barriers to learning, helping every student build confidence, stay healthy, and achieve their full potential.
Hello, Jaguar Families! My name is Lain Hager, and I am proud to serve as the Youth Service Center Coordinator here at East Jessamine Middle School.
Growing up, I attended East Jessamine High School before moving on to Campbellsville University, where I earned my degree in Criminal Justice & Sociology. My journey through school sparked a deep passion for helping young people navigate the middle school years and build strong foundations for their futures.
My goal at EJMS is simple: to make sure every student and family feels supported, welcomed, and equipped with the resources they need to thrive. Whether it’s providing basic essentials, connecting families with community resources, or just being a trusted listener, my door in Room 179 is always open!

It’s time to PACK THE PANTRY! From 9/21 to 9/25, we’re kicking off a 1-week homeroom challenge, and it’s a BATTLE OF THE GRADES!
That’s right, homerooms will be competing grade-by-grade (6th vs. 6th, 7th vs. 7th, 8th vs. 8th) to see who can collect the most non-perishable food items. Every single item donated counts toward your homeroom’s total and directly supports families in our community!
THE PRIZE: The winning homeroom in EACH grade gets a DONUT PARTY!
How to participate:
-Bring non-perishable items (cans, pasta, boxed goods) to your homeroom.
-Teachers will track daily totals on the leaderboard. Fill those bins, help homeroom take the title for your grade and take the crown!
-Let’s see which homeroom has the most spirit. Let’s fill it up!
