(she/her/hers)
Hi, I'm Jen. Thanks so much for checking out my website. I always appreciate when people are willing to ask for help or support - I see it as such a strength. So I’m glad you’re here!
I’m passionate about helping people build their confidence and independence. I want to help you better know yourself, value yourself, and trust yourself, even if you’ve never been able to do that before, and even if you’ve been through some really difficult and painful experiences. I especially love helping women, and other groups that might sometimes feel “less than,” discover and grow their inner wisdom, strength, and resilience.
There have been plenty of times when I felt like I wasn’t good enough or didn’t have the answer, and I’ve seen so many other people in my life, women in particular, carry the weight of those familiar feelings of shame and self-doubt. I’ve learned a lot about myself, and I’ve realized that some of the things I saw as weaknesses are actually strengths that have helped me overcome difficult situations, take care of myself, and connect to other people in really meaningful ways.
I’m excited about helping you discover and cultivate your own inner wisdom, strength, and independence. I want to help you build a stronger relationship with yourself, tap into the resilience that you have inside, and realize that you can overcome anything life throws at you. You are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for, and I’m excited to get the chance to help you see that.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S) in Ohio and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin. I completed a dual degree program, where I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Loyola University Chicago and my Master of Science degree in Child Development (MSCD) from the Erikson Institute for Child Development. I have worked with individuals, families, children, and adults, and I’ve worked with people who have been through significant and complex trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an evidence-based intervention to heal traumatic stress, and I use the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model to guide my work with clients.
Outside of work, I like to bake, listen to music, read, spend time outside, and watch TV. Some of my favorite shows are Gilmore Girls, Parks and Recreation, and The Great British Baking Show.
