OCEANA HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING
Mission Statement
Oceana’s school counseling program promotes the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of all students by facilitating collaboration between students, staff, and families. We empower students to work hard and take responsibility for fostering and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships.
Vision Statement
Our comprehensive school counseling program is student-centered, designed to meet the academic, personal, social, and career development needs of all students. We accomplish our mission by implementing an inclusive counseling curriculum in a classroom setting and engaging in individual student meetings to promote students’ academic potential.
The Oceana High School Counseling Program envisions a future where all graduates actively engage in their community, communicate and collaborate skillfully with others, and initiate learning experiences with grace.
All graduates participate in post-secondary plans where they set goals to achieve high standards while understanding that learning is a continuous growth process.
All graduates practice critical, reflective thinking that empowers them to be compassionate and respectful towards themselves and others.
