Youth Performing Arts School Chapter

How To Become A Member

Student induction into the YPAS chapter of the NHSDA is awarded on the basis of points earned for meritorious work in dance. For the YPAS chapter, 30 points must be earned for induction and then a minimum of 15 points for each school year thereafter.

Usually students earn their 30 points over the course of their 1st year for induction during their 2nd year. However students can be inducted at any time, once they have earned the first 30 points.

Benefits

Inductees receive a Certificate of Membership and added prestige in scholarship applications and future resumes. Twelfth grade members in good standing may wear NHSDA honor cords during the duPont Manual graduation ceremony and are eligible to apply for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award.
