Reading Unit 2

Our assessment will consist of students reading stories and poems to determine the theme and determine what type of figuartive language has been used. They will also use context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words.

We will be working on a Poetry Unit: Identifying elements, finding mood, finding theme, and understanding the poems we read. We will be reading all types of literary text to identify the theme topic, come up with a theme statement, and provide text evidence to support our claims.
