We are now working with finding area and perimeter. Students need to be able to determine which operation they need to complete from various word problems. The test for this will be given on November 11th.

We will be starting our unit on measurement on October 17th. This is a skill we use almost daily. If you and your child do any measuring at home or at your job, please share an image with me at Brenda.Ferrino-Sau@jefferson.kyschools.us so I can show all the students how many places we use measurement. We will continue to work on skills like addition, subtraction and multiplication from Unit 2 throughout this unit on measurement. Please go over the vocabulary listed so your child becomes familiar with the words we will be using.
