JCPS Comprehensive School Survey

The Comprehensive School Survey (CSS) began during the 1996-97 school year and has been conducted every year since. It is an annual survey that has the objective of collecting school/workplace climate data from multiple stakeholders associated with our school system: students (grades four through twelve), parents, school-based certified staff, school-based classified staff, and non-school-based certified and classified staff.

Each year, more than 100,000 surveys are returned, and that data is then analyzed and used to direct dialogues and strategies for the future of JCPS. The CSS provides invaluable feedback to the board, principals, and teachers regarding the climate of their work/school environment. JCPS appreciates and values the feedback of its employees, students, and parents and will utilize the survey to take action that will provide meaningful improvement across the district.
