Ramone Kelly

Coach Kelly enters his seventh year of coaching football and has been a member of the W.E.B. DuBois coaching staff since the program's inaugural varsity season. Before beginning his coaching career, he played three years of collegiate football at both the junior college (JUCO) and NCAA Division III levels, gaining valuable experience that continues to shape his approach to the game.

Kelly is a firm believer in hard work, discipline, and accountability. His mission extends far beyond wins and losses—he is committed to helping every player develop into the best young man they can be. He understands that life will present challenges and adversity, and he strives to prepare his athletes to face those moments with confidence, resilience, and character.

To Coach, football is more than a sport. It is a platform for building lifelong brotherhoods, lasting friendships, and memories that extend well beyond the field. He believes the game provides young men with purpose, structure, and an opportunity to grow together while finding an escape from the pressures of everyday life.
