Meet the Kindergarten Teachers
I have been a teacher in Jefferson County since 2001 and have taught at Witt Elementary since 2006. In my years of teaching, I have taught grades K -3 and loved each grade level. They each have something special. Teaching all these grades has enabled me to see the full spectrum of where my students are coming from and where they need to be. I love teaching, learning and working with kids!
I earned my BS in Communication Disorders from Saint Louis University and MA in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Literacy from the University of Colorado at Denver. In addition, I earned my certificate from Jeffco in English as a Second Language.
My husband and I are parents to four boys. Our oldest is 14 and our triplets are 11. I love to read, hike, walk/run, travel, camp, watch baseball and spend time with my family and friends.
I have taught for two years in Jefferson County and am entering my third year here at Witt. I love teaching Kindergarten and am energized by seeing the growth and the moments when things just start to 'click' with my students throughout the year.
I am a UNC grad with my BS in social sciences. I then went to Metro State to get my teaching license.
I am happy mom of one 3 year old boy who I love to be outside and active with everyday. In my free time I enjoy photography, hiking, camping, rafting, and being with family and friends!
