Witt STEM PTO

Our Mission:

"We are a volunteer organization made up of parents and staff members. Our purpose is to bridge parents, staff, students, and community into a common working unit, to ensure the best possible education and learning environment for our children."

PTO or "Parent Teacher Organization," is a group of parents and staff members that strive to create ways to further support the education of all students at Witt STEM Elementary. Once a month, PTO will hold a meeting in the Witt STEM Elementary Library at 4:30p.m.

***Childcare will be provided for all meetings by Mrs. Coupens and one or more High school Students in the Witt Gymnasium.***

Please read the "Welcome" letter below from our acting President, Megan Habegger. We truly hope to see you all as we continue to support our staff and students in ways that help them to become the best that they can be!

I wanted to thank everyone who could come to our first meeting. It was wonderful having so many people join us as it truly helps to get input from so many! Here is the link to watch the Facebook live from the meeting for those that could not attend:

During the meeting we created committees for the different events and areas where people are needed. If you are interested in being a part of the following committees please email witt.partners@gmail.com

-Fund Run

-After School programs

-Spring Carnival

-Halloween/Fall dance

We do have the Vice President position on our Executive Board open. If you are interested in the position please email witt.partners@gmail.com and we will add your name to the list of candidates. We will be voting on this position at our next meeting on Sept 24th at 4:30pm in the Library.

We encourage everyone to follow our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pg/wittstemelementarypto/posts/?ref=page_internal ) as we will be posting more and more throughout the year about volunteers needed, updates, highlight reels of our events, etc. Please encourage other parents to like our Facebook page as well!

Last but not least, we have our first Community night scheduled for 9/27 at Chuck E Cheese in Superior! The event runs from 3pm-9pm! More details will be sent home soon!

Have a wonderful evening!!!

Dear WITT Families,

WITT PTO would like to welcome you all back and a special welcome to all the new families to our wonderful school!

Our goal is to promote an environment where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning. We’re always eager to find more great people, like you, to help us meet this goal.

We have created a new Facebook PTO page that we are so excited to share. We will Facebook live our meetings as we know how busy parents and teachers can be. This way if you are unable to attend a meeting you can still share ideas you may have and see what was discussed.

Last year, we were able to do several amazing things:

-Fund Run: Lego Robotics -Bringing Boulder Ballet in to school

-Literacy Night -Feeder School Scholarship’s

-Spring Dance

-Teacher appreciation week

We consider every parent or guardian of a student at WITT Elementary to be a member of the PTO and did we mention membership is FREE!

We promise that the time you give our group and the school will be worth your while—and fun! We don’t expect a huge time commitment from volunteers. An hour can be a big help to our group and the school, and we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests. Just let us know whether a program, event, or activity interests you and when you might be free to help. You don’t even have to come to the school or attend a meeting to be involved (although we’d like to meet you in person!).

Feel free to email if you have any questions or suggestions. Together, we can make a difference at our school.

Sincerely,

Megan Habegger, PTO President

On behalf of the entire WITT Elementary PTO Board
