I used to think...,
but now I think
This routine is used to help kids synthesize new ideas. It also helps students to consider how their thinking has changed over time. This change in understanding may be over the course of a class period, a few days, or a week. Teachers might make use of this routine after reading new information, watching a film, listening to a speaker, experiencing something new, having a class discussion, or completing a unit of study.
