My name is Sharon McManus.

I have lived in Colorado for 30 years after being born and raised in El Segundo, California.

I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a B.A. in Communication Arts. I earned my teaching credential from Metropolitan State University in the area of K-12 Special Education. I am also Career and Technical Education certified (CTE).

After spending 6 years working in aerospace as Security Education Specialist, I became a home daycare provider and substitute teacher in Jeffco Schools. I have been teaching full-time at Chatfield for 15 years. All four of my children graduated from Columbine High School. Two of my sons served in the United States Marine Corps. Their service inspired me to start the "Operation Stockings for Our Troops" project, which we do every year! I enjoy teaching students of all abilities and finding new, creative, ways for students to demonstrate their knowledge.
