Welcome Back Students and Families,
I am so eager to meet our new friends, reconnect with our returning classmates, and listen to your summer adventures! I am delighted to announce our new classroom teaching assistant, Ms. Cherie Day.
Parents, this is a very exciting time for your child to begin a new school year. It can also be a bit unsettled. Here are a few suggestions to help your child have a great beginning. Get into the school routine two weeks before school begins. This includes going to bed early so they wake refreshed. Daily attendance is extremely important after the pandemic. Class lessons begin at 8:00. Talk about what you expect from your child, stressing that they are not expected to know everything before they arrive. School is a place to build knowledge so they need to try new things and do their best. When children are well rested, have a positive routine, and know what is expected, their concerns dissipate.
On August 15 there is a Teacher Meet and Greet. This is a great time to drop-off supplies, say hello, and ask questions. You may drop in any time between 10:00 and 1:00.
Student, when you arrive on the first day, it will be very noisy as we get acquainted. You will see old friends and make new friends while everyone helps everyone else. Please make sure you remember to, be kind, show effort, stay safe, show respect, demonstrate integrity, and ask for help when you need it.
I look forward to seeing you here August 16, 2022.
In Peace,
Judy Faulder
