Advocacy
Taking action individually or collectively to publicly support positive social, environmental, or political change.
Some examples at our school are: supporting peers in the learning community; sharing ideas with others; presenting reasoned arguments on behalf of others; taking on the role of student representative; creating campaign for positive change.
Lifestyle Choices
Making positive lifestyle changes in response to learning.
Some examples at our school are: considering and acting on our physical health and well-being; taking responsibility for interactions with others; reflecting on our personal choices; engaging in responsible consumption.
Participation
Being actively involved in the learning community and showing commitment to contributing as individuals and as members of a group.
Some examples at our school are: making appropriate choices and taking responsibility for personal learning and actions; working collaboratively with teachers and peers; contributing to discussions and learning experiences, raising awareness of opportunities for taking action; getting involved in projects; being aware of democratic processes and taking part in decision-making; representing a collective voice in meetings.
Social Entrepreneurship
Supporting positive social change through responding to the needs of local, national, and global communities; applying prior knowledge and skills to identify and address challenges and opportunities in innovative, resourceful and sustainable ways.
Some examples at our school are: designing, planning, and developing solutions to address issues; projects that have a positive impact on the learning community; partnering with others to support projects and initiatives.
