  • Unit 2: A Tight-knit Group
  • Unit 3: Density Moves

  • Unit 6: A Dynamic Balancing Act

Class Materials:

Please bring the following materials to class EVERY DAY:

  • Pencil
  • Science Notebook
  • Planner
  • Chromebook
  • A Positive Attitude

Sometimes, you will need to also bring:

  • Liquid glue
  • Colored pencils
  • Ruler

Science Notebooks:

You will need a notebook (composition notebook) for warm-ups, readings, in-class assignments, thinking maps, lab reports and more. I will be conducting notebook checks periodically to ensure all assignments are completed. The notebook will be graded for not only completeness, but accuracy as well.

Extra Help:

Please know that you may ALWAYS ask any questions that you have, when you do not understand a concept we are studying. I highly encourage it! If you need help, I would suggest using DASH (Drake After School Help) on Wednesdays after school or come in during Access. If neither of these options do not work, please make an appointment with me for another day. I always do my best to accommodate my students' needs.

Absent:

YOU (yes, YOU) are responsible for ALL of the work you missed while you were absent. Please check the absent crate to see what you missed. I will also post homework on my webpage under the calendar tab as well. You have 2 days to make-up every 1 day that you are absent. It is your responsibility to turn assignments in the absent work to the absent/late/corrections basket.

Grading Breakdown:

  • 20%- Work Habits
  • 10%- Starters
  • 30%- Science Notebook/ Labs
  • 40%- Assessments
