Family & Consumer Sciences 1 & 2

Family and Consumer Sciences is an elective program that empowers students to become contributing family members, productive problem solvers, responsible citizens, quality workers, and continuing learners. The curriculum concentrates on the development of process skills in higher order thinking, communication, management, and leadership. These skills are needed to solve complex problems and challenges of daily living today and in the future. The course will explore the many areas of Family and Consumer Science with the activities and lab explorations which include such topics as food safety and nutrition, sewing and craft skills, child & personal development, interior design & fashion, and personal finance, and career development.

Food & Nutrition

Class supplies:

-$25 fee for class

-Pencil and any other writing utensils you would like for projects

-Chromebook occasionally

-Folder for worksheets

COUGAR CASH will be given for brining in donations of Kleenex!!!!!

About Ms. Bryan

A Colorado native, I am a graduate from Metro State College of Denver with a degree in Behavioral Science and Secondary Education and an ESL Endorsement. This is my 10th year in teaching! I spend many years in US history and have moved this year to FACS.  When away from the classroom I can be found camping, traveling, camping, gardening, and paddle boarding.
