About me

The 2023-2024 school year will be my 15th year as an educator and my very first year at WJES!  I am so excited to be joining the WJES community!

I live in Conifer with my husband of 26 years, our 16 year old daughter who will be a Junior at Conifer High School, and an embarrassing number of pets.  We moved back to Colorado in 2016 after living in Chicago for 11 years.  Given our love for the outdoors, the mountains were the only place we saw ourselves living after living in such a big city! 

During our time in Chicago, I received my M.Ed in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University and my M.A in Curriculum and Instruction with an ELL endorsement from Concordia University.  Previously, I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. This year will be my fourth year teaching 5th grade.

When I'm not in the classroom or attending to our mini zoo, you can find me hiking or camping during the summer and during the winter you'll find me flying down the slopes!  I love all things related to coffee, art, and traveling!
